LensMaster Privacy Policy

Overview

LensMaster ("the App") is a photography education app developed by Yugansh Jain ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

By using LensMaster you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

1. Data stored locally on your device on-device only

LensMaster stores the following data exclusively on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.

• Lesson and quiz progress (completed lessons, XP, streaks, quiz scores)
• App preferences (notifications, haptics, camera brand selection)
• Custom camera recipes you create in the Simulator

2. Advertising data — Google AdMob third party

LensMaster uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. The following ad formats are used:

• Banner ads — displayed at the bottom of the Home, Lessons, and Quiz screens.
• Interstitial ads (full-screen) — shown automatically after a lesson is completed.
• Rewarded ads — optional; shown only if you tap "Watch Ad for +50 XP" in Settings.

To serve these ads, AdMob may collect the following information:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS)
• Device type, model, OS version, and language
• General location (country/region derived from IP address)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, conversions)
• IP address (used for fraud prevention and geographic ad targeting)

LensMaster does not access or store any of this advertising data — it is collected and processed solely by Google under their own privacy policy.

How We Use Information

• Local device data is used only to save your progress and preferences within the app.
• AdMob advertising data is used to display ads and measure ad performance.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties beyond AdMob.
• We do not use any data for analytics, tracking, or profiling.

Advertising & Your Choices

Where Ads Appear

• Banner ads — fixed strip at the bottom of Home, Lessons list, and Quiz screens.
• Interstitial ads — a full-screen ad is shown after each lesson is completed. You can dismiss it immediately.
• Rewarded ads — tap "Watch Ad for +50 XP" in Settings to voluntarily watch an ad and earn bonus XP. These are never shown automatically.

Personalised vs Non-Personalised Ads

AdMob may show personalised ads based on your Advertising Identifier (IDFA). You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

• Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising and disable "Personalised Ads".
• Or go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".

If you opt out, ads will still appear in the app but will not be personalised to your interests.

LensMaster Pro

Purchasing LensMaster Pro ($4.99, one-time) removes banner ads and interstitial ads. Rewarded ads remain available as a voluntary way to earn bonus XP.

Children's Privacy

LensMaster is not directed at children under 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain content inappropriate for any age group, but it is designed for adult photography enthusiasts.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Data Retention & Deletion

All local data (progress, preferences, custom recipes) is stored on your device and controlled entirely by you. To delete all app data, simply delete LensMaster from your iPhone — iOS will remove all associated UserDefaults data automatically.

For advertising data collected by Google AdMob, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for data deletion requests.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including:

• The right to access personal data we hold about you.
• The right to request deletion of your personal data.
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data).
• The right to restrict or object to processing.

Since LensMaster stores no personal data on our servers, most of these rights are satisfied by deleting the app. For AdMob-related requests, contact Google directly. For any other requests, email us at the address below.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used by LensMaster is:

• Google AdMob — advertising network. Privacy Policy

Apple's StoreKit is used for in-app purchases (LensMaster Pro) and is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. We receive no payment details — all transactions go through Apple.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
